If you are based in Malawi you do not need dollars and you do not need a bank card. You can pay in Malawi Kwacha straight from your phone using Airtel Money or TNM Mpamba. It takes about two minutes.
Choose how long you want to read for. Pay the Kwacha price or the Dollar price — whichever you pick at checkout is what you pay.
Prices are per book and are paid once for the days you choose.
Use Airtel Money or TNM Mpamba on your phone. No bank card and no dollars needed — just money on your mobile wallet.
Use any Visa or Mastercard. Tap USD on the book page and the price switches to Dollars before you pay.
Same book, same reader — only the way you pay is different.
Take your time. Nothing is taken from your phone until you enter your PIN.
Click Sign Up and enter your name, your email and a password you will remember. It is free. You only do this once.
Go to Books and tap the one you want to read. Most books have a free sample — you can read a few pages first before you pay anything.
Pay in Kwacha from your Airtel line. You approve it with your Airtel Money PIN.
Pay in Kwacha from your TNM line. You approve it with your Mpamba PIN.
Pay in US Dollars from anywhere in the world — or in Kwacha with a Malawian bank card.
It is usually a small thing. Try this first.
Wait about two minutes and refresh the page, then check My Books. Mobile money sometimes takes a moment to confirm. If it is still locked, message us with the phone number you paid from and the time you paid — we will open it for you.
Go to My Books. Under 'Finish your payment' you will see it waiting, with a button to complete it. Nothing has been taken from you yet.
Nothing was taken. Just open the book again and press pay to start over.
Put money on your Airtel Money or Mpamba wallet first, then come back and press pay again. Remember the mobile money provider may add a small charge of their own.
Many cards block online payments to other countries until you allow it. Call your bank and ask them to enable international online payments, then try again. Ensure your Visa or Mastercard is 3-D Secure. If you are in Malawi, mobile money is usually the easier route.
Someone with mobile money can pay for you — just make sure you are logged in to your own account before the payment starts, so the book lands in your account.

Pick 30, 60 or 90 days. This is not a monthly subscription. You pay one time for the days you chose, and nothing is taken from your phone again after that.
On the book page there is a small switch that says MWK and USD. If you are in Malawi, tap MWK and the price shows in Kwacha. If you are paying from outside Malawi, tap USD for the price in US Dollars. Both work — pick the one that suits you.
You will be taken to PayChangu — this is the company that safely collects the money. It is a normal part of the process. Do not close the page.
Paying in Kwacha? Choose Airtel Money or TNM Mpamba and type the phone number that has the money on it. Paying in Dollars? Choose card and enter your Visa or Mastercard details. Check the number carefully before you continue.
With mobile money, a message comes to your phone — enter your mobile money PIN there. With a card, your bank may send you a one-time code by SMS or in its app. Your PIN, your code and your card number stay between you and your bank; this website never sees them.
After a few seconds you are brought back and the book opens. You can also find it any time under My Books. Read on your phone, tablet or computer.
